Further to the interim review below.....
Now finished this interesting - and yes, mildly disturbing to the end - book, but I would bet London to a brick that in time there will be a sequel, and it will all finish up on something Netflix-y. It just has that feel, as the end sort of "hangs" unsatisfied and the characters are "heart-warming". Without being cute.
But I still say get hold of a copy, even if you're not into - what? - no, can't say that it's category is "Fantasy" or "Sci-Fi" - maybe its breaking new genre ground. But have a read and see what you think. Well worth the journey into the Near Future.
